EDF Luminus and ATS finalise their agreement

On 24 April, EDF Luminus and ATS announced that EDF Luminus would acquire a majority stake in ATS NV. This agreement, aimed at turning EDF Luminus into a leader in the field of energy services for industrial customers and customers in the public and tertiary sectors in Belgium, has now been finalised.

EDF Luminus and ATS have concluded the agreement whereby EDF Luminus acquires a majority stake in ATS. Announced on 24 April, the operation first had to be approved by the relevant competition authorities.

 

Based in Merelbeke, ATS has 600 employees and a turnover exceeding € 100 million, and provides customers from the industrial, tertiary and public sectors with a wide range of technical solutions. In addition to the distribution of electrical equipment, ATS also provides integrated electricity and heating solutions: design and engineering, installation and maintenance of industrial electric networks, automation projects, industrial refrigeration, fire detection and hydraulic systems.

 

Together, EDF Luminus and ATS will be able to assist customers from the industrial, tertiary and public sectors even better thanks to a range of services expanded to include energy efficiency and optimisation solutions. This holding in ATS fits in with EDF Luminus’s long-term strategy which in 2014 resulted in two cooperation agreements with Rami Services and Dauvister, two companies providing energy services to private individuals and SMEs.  After all, EDF Luminus aspires to become the leading energy partner throughout Belgium.
